A 32-year-old man climbed onto a stationary railway wagon in the area of Kaiserebersdorf station in Vienna-Simmering on Sunday around 9 a.m., suffered an electric shock there, and fell.
What is known so far
According to police, the injured man was discovered in the track area around 9 a.m. A witness found the 32-year-old in the area around Baudißgasse in Vienna-Simmering, in the vicinity of Klein-Schwechat station, and alerted the emergency services.
Investigations by the police officers indicated that the man had previously climbed onto a railway wagon parked next to him. There he suffered the electric shock, which caused the head injury as well as burns to his body and his clothing.
