The EU Commission on Tuesday presented a demography report in Brussels according to which Europe's population will fall to around 398.8 million people by 2100, roughly corresponding to the level of the second half of the 1970s.
With 450.6 million people, the European population has reached its peak according to the EU Commission's current demography report. The report by the EU Commission's science centre was published on Tuesday in Brussels. According to it, the EU population will initially rise slightly from 450.6 million: "dass die Bevölkerung der EU von heute 450,6 Millionen Menschen bis 2029 auf 453,3 Millionen Menschen ansteigen wird", the analysis states. After that, the demographic turning point begins.
