International operation in Georgia
Law enforcement agencies from Germany, Switzerland and numerous other states have shut down the crypto mixer "AudiA6." This was announced by the European police agency Europol. According to the agency, "AudiA6" had been one of the most frequently used services for laundering cryptocurrencies for years.
During the operation on Wednesday, two suspected administrators with Ukrainian and Russian citizenship were arrested in Georgia. According to Europol, three properties were searched, more than 80 vehicles were confiscated and dozens of servers seized. The authorities have now publicly released a number of these so that cryptocurrency wallets can identify and block associated accounts.
