Until now, it had only been known that human remains had been found and that the police had been called in. The concrete sender – a shipment from Munich Airport – was also specified in the updated reporting. The origin of the shipment as well as the actual destination within the FACC plant are now central points of the ongoing investigation.

It remains unclear what the human remains were intended for and on whose behalf the transport was carried out. The identity of the dead, as well as the cause of death and the time of death of the eight torsos, also still need to be clarified. Investigators are checking whether the shipment was even intended for FACC or was possibly misdirected. Whether there is a criminal background is the subject of the ongoing investigations.

FACC itself has not so far commented publicly on the incident. The authorities are asking that tips from the public be directed to the nearest police station.
