A family of three from the Leibnitz district was injured on Saturday morning at around 6:35 a.m. on the Pyhrn Autobahn (A9) near Lebring when their car crashed unbraked into a crash cushion.
According to police, the family was traveling on the A9 from Spielfeld toward Graz at around 6:35 a.m. For reasons as yet unknown, the vehicle left the roadway in the area of the Lebring autobahn exit and crashed unbraked into a crash cushion, as stated in the law enforcement communications.
The force of the impact injured all three occupants. The 50-year-old father, after receiving initial care at the accident site, was airlifted by the Christophorus 14 rescue helicopter to LKH Graz. The 47-year-old mother was taken by the Red Cross to UKH Graz, and the 18-year-old daughter was admitted to the Graz Children's Clinic.
