Stop on summer tour through eastern Germany
The presentation took place as part of a multi-day summer tour through eastern German federal states. In Chorin, the CSU politician presented his concept for a policy that, from the perspective of the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture, encompasses both urban and rural areas.
According to the ministry, "Heimat" explicitly includes cities and countryside, stating that both belong together. The Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture is also responsible for the area of Heimat policy within the federal government.
