Im ersten Halbjahr 2026 sind bei der Bundesnetzagentur 35.728 Beschwerden über Briefe und Pakete eingegangen. Die Deutsche Post weist die Kritik zurück und führt die gestiegenen Zahlen auf das neue, niedrigschwellige Meldesystem zurück.
In the first half of 2026, the Federal Network Agency (Bundesnetzagentur) received 35,728 critical reports about letter and parcel deliveries via the so-called Mängelmelder (defect reporting tool), meaning the number of complaints has risen significantly compared to the same period the previous year.
According to the Federal Network Agency's website, 35,728 critical reports were submitted to the so-called Mängelmelder in the first half of the year. In the same period the previous year, the authority had counted 22,981 complaints — more than ever before. However, the Federal Network Agency points out that the figures are not comparable because the methodology has changed.
