Le Mans, June 14, 2026
Toyota has won the 2026 24 Hours of Le Mans, while Austrian Ferdinand Habsburg achieved sixth place overall in the Alpine and Clemens Schmid took fourth place in the LMGT3 class in the Akkodis Lexus.
In the 94th endurance classic at the Circuit de la Sarthe, the Toyota factory team triumphed with Mike Conway, Kamui Kobayashi, and Nyck de Vries. After 381 laps, they crossed the finish line with a lead of 10.9 seconds over the first chaser, BMW. This ended Ferrari's three-year winning streak at the world's most prestigious endurance race.

Toyota also took third place overall: Sébastien Buemi, Brendon Hartley, and Ryō Hirakawa completed the Japanese manufacturer's success. Buemi and Hartley are former Formula 1 drivers. The second BMW, driven by René Rast, Robin Frijns, and Sheldon van der Linde, finished second. Rast lives in Bregenz but, according to APA, was not the main spokesperson for the Austrian contingent at the post-race press conference.
