Bird expert Karin Donnerbaum ringed five young storks at the nest on the roof of the town hall in the market town of Traisen in the district of Lilienfeld, officially registering them in the process.

Five young storks in the market town of Traisen in the Lower Austrian district of Lilienfeld have completed their first official "appointment with the authorities." According to the Traisen municipal office, the young birds were fitted with individual leg rings at the nest on the roof of the town hall and thus registered. "The first 'official appointment' in the life of Traisen's storks was quite something: the young birds were ringed and thus officially registered," the municipality stated. The ring essentially serves as an "ID" for the animals.
