France's outgoing head coach Didier Deschamps has warned his team ahead of Saturday's World Cup round-of-16 clash (11 p.m.) against Paraguay, describing the opponent as a typical South American team with great strength in duels.
France face the team that eliminated Germany, Paraguay, in the round of the last 16 – and Didier Deschamps is taking the task seriously. "I've watched Paraguay: what they've achieved is no accident. They are a typical South American team, very strong in the tackle, very stubborn, and they also have very good players," said the outgoing French coach. Paraguay beat the German team in the tournament and are thus confirmed as France's next opponents.
