A gas explosion in a semi-trailer on the grounds of Hörsching Airport injured seven people on Saturday afternoon, two of them seriously.

A serious accident involving a gas cylinder occurred on Saturday afternoon on the premises of Hörsching Airport. According to emergency services, several Serbian truck drivers had been cooking with a gas cylinder inside a semi-trailer at around 3:20 p.m. when it suddenly exploded.

A 54-year-old and a 41-year-old were seriously injured in the accident. The two men had to be flown by rescue helicopter to the Vienna General Hospital (AKH). The five other injured persons were taken to hospitals in Wels and Linz. A total of seven people were injured.
