The German DSA coordination office, housed within the Federal Network Agency, has provisionally found the online marketplace eBay guilty of several violations of the Digital Services Act and has given the company the opportunity to respond and remedy the deficiencies.
The German coordination office for the Digital Services Act (DSA), housed within the Federal Network Agency, published a provisional finding on Monday morning according to which the online marketplace ebay.de violates provisions of the EU regulation. According to the authority, three specific points are affected.
Three specific objections
First, reporting content on ebay.de is not properly possible, particularly in the desktop web view. The DSA coordination office stated: „Diese Pflichtangaben sind bei eBay nicht einfach und benutzerfreundlich einsehbar“. The DSA requires that notices regarding potentially illegal content can be reported quickly and easily at any time.
