The Vorarlberg native Julia Grabher has advanced to the quarterfinals at the WTA 100 tournament in Amstetten following a comfortable 6:1, 6:0 win over Croatia's Iva Primorac Pavičić.
The 30-year-old Julia Grabher needed just 76 minutes for her round-of-16 victory. On center court in Amstetten, she gave Iva Primorac Pavičić no chance and conceded only a single game in the entire match. The Austrian, seeded No. 1 at the tournament, thus advanced to the final eight without dropping a set.
Grabher secured an early break right at the start of the match. At 2:1, she fended off four break points against her, held her own serve, and wrapped up the first set with two further breaks. She remained focused in the second set as well and converted her second match point after 1:16 hours of play to seal her comfortable spot in the quarterfinals.
