Austrian tennis player Julia Grabher will face her 19-year-old compatriot Ekaterina Perelygina in the round of 16 at the Generali Open Ladies in Kitzbühel on Tuesday.

The number four seed at the WTA 125 tournament in Kitzbühel has survived the first round and now faces a fellow favorite from her own country's ranks. Julia Grabher fought her way through her opening match on Monday against Romania's Elena Ruxandra Bertea, winning 6:3, 5:7, 6:4. According to the organizers, the match lasted 2 hours and 30 minutes, making it the longest first-round encounter of the tournament day.

Awaiting her in the round of 16 is Ekaterina Perelygina, a player also familiar to the Kitzbühel crowd. The 19-year-old, listed as an Austrian Fed Cup player and national champion, defeated Morocco's Yasmine Kabbaj 2:6, 6:4, 6:3 in the first round. The match lasted just over two hours and was effectively decided before a tiebreak in the third set.
