Graz, July 12, 2026
The Graz Giants won their Austrian Football League semifinal against the Prague Black Panthers 41:6 on Sunday, securing their ticket to Austrian Bowl XLI, where they will face the Danube Dragons on July 25.
The Styrians followed the Viennese on Sunday with a clear 41:6 semifinal victory over the Prague Black Panthers. This means the Giants will play in the AFL championship game for the first time since 2016. Reaching Austrian Bowl XLI is the greatest sporting achievement of the season so far for the club from Styria.
Man of the match was running back Dean Opara with three touchdowns. The running back was the most prominent player in the Graz offense and consistently took advantage of his opportunities. The Giants' defense also delivered a strong performance: the defense recorded four interceptions, one of which was returned into the end zone by Sebastian Tesarik.
