Frank Elstner, the creator of the iconic German television show "Wetten, dass...", has been awarded the prestigious Grimme Prize for his contributions to entertainment broadcasting.

The 84-year-old television legend was honored for his decades-long career, which includes inventing the long-running show in 1981. The award ceremony also recognized journalist Golineh Atai for her achievements in reporting.
