Vienna, 20 August 2026
At the Vienna-based proptech company Gropyus, co-founder Markus Fuhrmann has resigned as Chief Executive Officer and left the company, while supervisory board member Harald Mahrer has simultaneously stepped down from the control body.
The change at the top of Gropyus marks the end of an era in which the company grew under the leadership of its co-founder from an initial idea to an internationally active proptech provider. With his departure, Gropyus loses not only its previous Chief Executive Officer, but also a key figure of strategic direction during a sensitive phase for the construction industry.
Background on the Company
In his statement on the handover, Fuhrmann explicitly thanked Harald Mahrer and Thomas Kretschmar for their support during the current phase of the company's development. The statement reads verbatim: "Abschließend danke ich Harald Mahrer und Thomas Kretschmar für ihre Begleitung und den immer konstruktiven Austausch während dieser wichtigen Phase der Unternehmensentwicklung."
