A 71-year-old hiker from Vienna fell approximately 70 meters over rugged rocky terrain on Wednesday afternoon while descending from the Großer Priel in the Kühkar area of Upper Austria, and was taken to the Klinikum Kirchdorf with injuries.

Course of the fall

The woman from Vienna was descending from the Großer Priel in the Kühkar area early on Wednesday afternoon when she tripped so unfortunately that she fell and slid about 70 meters down rugged rocky terrain.

According to the available information, the fall occurred in the early afternoon. The Großer Priel is considered one of the best-known mountain destinations in the Upper Austrian part of the Totes Gebirge and is also frequently undertaken by less experienced hikers.
