GTA 6: Pre-orders launch at midnight – Ultimate Edition announced with extras

What the Ultimate Edition offers

There are still no official announcements regarding the European price. In the US, the Ultimate Edition is, based on current information, expected to sit around US$20 above the Standard Edition, at approximately US$99.99. Rockstar itself most recently spoke of a "single-player experience." However, GTA Online for "GTA 6" will not be available at launch.

The Ultimate Edition comes with exclusive content, including premium vehicles, weapons, clothing, and "action across all aspects of Jason's and Lucia's story." Specifically, the package includes several vehicles, among them exclusive models such as a luxury boat, as well as a garage in Watson Bay. In addition, there are exclusive modifications for certain cars and a tuning workshop.

Also available from the start are several personalized weapon variants, such as detailed engravings on Jason's Girardi ES9 pistol and Lucia's Klose K17 pistol. According to Rockstar, the bonuses extend across all chapters of the story, so new content is unlocked in every section. One month of GTA+ – with monthly perks, bonuses, and rewards for GTA Online – as well as 500,000 GTA Dollars, the in-game currency of the online mode, are also part of the Ultimate Edition.

Vintage Vice City Pack as pre-order bonus

Players will be able to restyle the two protagonists – with tattoos, earrings, or hairstyles. Certain designs have likewise been reserved for buyers of this luxury edition. With this, Rockstar is clearly positioning the pricier variant as a collector's and complete package.

The Vintage Vice City Pack was revealed as the pre-order bonus. It includes the two-tone 1955 Vapid Stanier (sedan) along with a Shore Court garage at Ocean Beach. A few outfits and hairstyles have also been bundled into the package. The Vintage Vice City Pack is included with all digital purchases of "Grand Theft Auto VI" made before November 20, 2026, as well as with pre-orders of the physical version – while supplies last.

Physical version without a disc

The physical version of "Grand Theft Auto VI" will be available from November 12 and includes a download code in the box, allowing the game to be downloaded in advance. A traditional case is therefore included, but buyers will search in vain for a disc – the game will be downloaded exclusively via code.

Just a few hours before pre-orders became possible, developer Rockstar delivered numerous new screenshots that offer another taste of the game's world. The publisher apparently wants to generate attention one more time right before the pre-order launch and boost anticipation for the release.

European prices still open

Overall, it is becoming clear that Rockstar is justifying the price difference between the Standard and Ultimate versions primarily through story extras, vehicles, and currency packs. Anyone who wants all the content from the start will have to dig correspondingly deeper into their pockets – while casual players will likely get the core game with the Standard version.

Last but not least, the pre-order launch also sheds light on the role of physical versions in an era of growing download habits. With the decision to ship the physical box without a disc, Rockstar is taking a middle path that appeals to collectors while simultaneously simplifying distribution.

What's clear is that the final euro prices are only expected shortly before or at the start of sales. Until then, those interested can only place their pre-order with the risk of a later adjustment – or wait for official prices.
