Erling Haaland described the past six weeks as the best of his life following Norway's 1:2 extra-time defeat to England in the World Cup quarterfinal, while also speaking of feeling dejected after the match.

Haaland, who played in the tournament at the age of 25, said of his time with the national team: „Das sind die geilsten sechs Wochen gewesen, die ich vielleicht in meinem ganzen Leben gehabt habe. Das war völlig surreal." At the same time, he acknowledged having felt „ziemlich niedergeschlagen" after the game.

Norwegen was eliminated on Saturday in a dramatic quarterfinal against England. Jude Bellingham, Haaland's former teammate at Borussia Dortmund, scored the equalizer to make it 1:1 and later netted the decisive goal for the English side. Haaland himself failed to score in the match.
