Hartberg, June 29, 2026
TSV Hartberg is parting ways with its goalkeeper Tom Ritzy Hülsmann and banking a record fee between 2.5 and 3 million euros for the 22-year-old German's transfer to French second-division side Stade Reims.
Performances and Background of the Transfer
Hülsmann had risen to become the "Goalkeeper of the Season" in the Austrian Bundesliga in the past campaign and played a key role in TSV Hartberg's sporting results. In 30 Bundesliga appearances, the 2.05-meter-tall shot-stopper kept nine clean sheets, and ten in 33 competitive matches overall. His consistently strong performances piqued the interest of several clubs, including Hannover 96.
According to information from the KURIER, the fee that the Ligue 2 club is paying Hartberg is over 2 million euros, while other sources speak of a sum between 2.5 and 3 million euros. This puts the transfer well above Hartberg's previous record: in the best case to date, LASK had paid 1.3 million euros for striker Max Entrup.
