The Croatian weather service DHMZ has issued heat wave warnings for several regions along the Adriatic coast, which according to forecasts will last at least one more week.
Ivan Güttler, head of the Croatian weather service DHMZ, explained in an interview with the state television HRT that the heat wave continues to grip the country. The warnings have been in effect since 22 June and affect, among others, Osijek, Split, Dubrovnik, the Kvarner region, the Kvarnerić, and the Velebit Channel. The second-highest warning level, Orange, has been declared for the Rijeka region; the remaining mentioned areas are under Yellow level.
