In the crash of two helicopters in the western suburb of Recreio dos Bandeirantes of the Brazilian metropolis Rio de Janeiro on June 14, 2026, US musician Oliver Tree lost his life.
According to a police source who spoke to the news agency AFP, the 32-year-old was on board one of the two helicopters that collided near a car dealership. As the authorities announced, all occupants of the aircraft were killed. A passenger list available to AFP lists a total of six people.
As the broadcaster "CNN Brasil" reported, citing the police, the US musician Oliver Tree (32) is among the dead. The accident victims could initially not be identified, as they were severely burned in the impact. Only in the course of the investigation was Oliver Tree identified as one of the dead using the passenger list.
