The Essen-based construction and infrastructure group Hochtief raised its profit target for 2026 once again on Monday after presenting its half-year results, attributing its growth trajectory primarily to strong demand for data centers in the wake of the AI boom.
Raised forecast and drivers
Hochtief now expects an adjusted net profit of between 1.025 and 1.1 billion euros for the current financial year, the company announced on Monday. The new corridor is therefore 75 million euros above the previous range of 950 million to 1.025 billion euros – at both the lower and upper end. Compared with the previous year, the new forecast corresponds to an increase of roughly 30 to 40 percent; in 2025, the company had raised its adjusted profit by 26.3 percent to 789.3 million euros.
