Hoffenheim, Germany — May 6, 2026

TSG 1899 Hoffenheim has secured a long-term contract extension with managing director Andreas Schicker as the Bundesliga club stabilizes its leadership following a power struggle.

The 39-year-old executive, who previously worked with coach Christian Ilzer at Sturm Graz, where they won two Cup titles and one championship together, has been credited with steering Hoffenheim through turbulent times. His new deal comes as the club clinched an international starting position with two matchdays remaining in the season.

Leadership Stability After Turmoil

Hoffenheim's decision to retain Schicker follows significant upheaval in the club's management structure. Markus Schütz, Frank Briel, and Tim Jost were forced to leave their positions as managing directors amid internal power struggles.
