Following an attack on a taxi driver in Leoben, several suspected cadres of the far-right Identitarian Movement of Austria (IBÖ) are under criminal suspicion, as APA reports, citing investigations.

According to STANDARD and ORF Report, the taxi driver had been called to drive to a celebration of the Burschenschaft Leder in a hall in Leoben during the night. Three fraternity members had shouted Nazi slogans such as "Sieg Heil" and "Heil Hitler" in his car, whereupon he asked them to leave the vehicle. When he continued to follow the three men, an IBÖ comrade came to their aid along with a German far-right extremist whom the taxi driver was pursuing, according to the investigation.
