The head of ING in Germany, Lars Stoy, has described the planned early-start pension as an opportunity for private provision and has campaigned for the state-subsidized retirement savings depot scheduled to begin in 2027.
Lars Stoy, head of ING in Germany, spoke out in Frankfurt in favor of the early-start pension and described the planned retirement savings depot as an important building block for private provision. The federal government wants to use the model to create incentives, particularly so that younger employees start providing for old age at an early stage.
Specifically, a state-subsidized depot is planned, which employees will be able to use for their retirement provision from the coming year. Stoy pointed out that the early-start pension offers a low-threshold opportunity for those entering the workforce to build wealth.
