According to an investigation by The Guardian, British politician Nigel Farage, shortly before his election as a member of the British Parliament in 2024, received a personal gift of five million pounds (around 5.9 million euros) which he did not record as a donation.
According to The Guardian, the investigation is based on a total of 16 sources. The report claims the transaction was not entered into the register for political donations in Great Britain. The newspaper initially provided no further information beyond the key points mentioned regarding the nature of the flow of money, the timing and the identity of the source.
