On Saturday, during a dispute between three men in the toilet facilities of Klagenfurt station, a substance resembling irritant gas was sprayed. Police reported that the incident triggered a major deployment of emergency services. Several people complained of respiratory irritation, severe coughing, and nausea. Affected individuals received medical treatment at the station.

The Klagenfurt professional fire brigade arrived in the afternoon to secure the affected areas. Specialists carried out measurements and took samples. Following initial measurements and sample collection, experts classified the hazard situation as low. Emergency personnel subsequently carried out ventilation and cleaning work.
