Beirut, June 13, 2026
Israel on Saturday bombed areas in southern Lebanon that the Israeli army had previously ordered the population to evacuate, while the ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah that has formally been in place since April 17 remains fragile.
According to the report, the ceasefire between Israel and the Lebanese Hezbollah militia, which has formally been in place since April 17, continues to be violated on a daily basis. "Israel and Hezbollah continue to attack each other daily nonetheless," the report, aired on June 13, 2026 on the Deutschlandfunk program, states. Earlier in the week, Israel and Lebanon had agreed on a new attempt to implement the ceasefire, but Hezbollah rejected this agreement in early June. "The Iran-backed militia rejects a ceasefire," the broadcaster reported.
