John Travolta has made his directorial debut with the film 'Nachtflug nach L.A.', a project that holds great personal significance for the actor.

The film, also known as 'Propeller One-Way Night Coach', is based on a novel written by Travolta in 1997, which was inspired by his own childhood.

Travolta has stated that he wrote the book for his eldest son, Jett, who suffered from epilepsy and passed away in 2009 at the age of 16.

The film is set in 1962, during the golden age of aviation, and follows a young boy's journey as he discovers his passion for flying.
