Kyiv's mayor Vitali Klitschko has warned of an escalation of the Ukraine war by Russia after the Russian army heavily attacked the Ukrainian capital Kyiv from the air three times within one week.
Kyiv's mayor Vitali Klitschko has warned of a further increase in Russian attacks on the Ukrainian capital. In an interview with the newspaper "Bild am Sonntag," the former boxing world champion said he had experienced nothing comparable since the beginning of the war. The attacks with drones, cruise missiles, and ballistic missiles had reached a scale he did not know.
Klitschko said verbatim: "Die Angriffe mit russischen ballistischen Raketen sind schlimmer als je zuvor". He also attributed the escalation to Ukraine's new strength at the front. Kremlin chief Vladimir Putin was under pressure and apparently wanted to bomb Kyiv to rubble before winter begins. In his original words: "dass er jetzt offenbar Kiew kaputt bomben will, bevor der Winter beginnt".
