The EHL Hospitality Business School above Lausanne trains its students not only in theory, but also in the kitchen, service, and room cleaning – including a Michelin star and an international campus in Singapore.

The EHL Hospitality Business School, formerly known as the École hôtelière de Lausanne, is considered one of the most prestigious hotel management schools in the world. «Time and again, it lands in first place in international rankings,» is what is said about the school. Those who study here don't just learn management – they also stand at the stove themselves, in service, and when it comes to cleaning rooms.

Theory and Practice Under One Roof

In the in-house teaching restaurant «Berceau des Sens», aspiring hoteliers are trained at the highest level. The restaurant is, according to the school, the only teaching restaurant in the world to hold a Michelin star. Head chef Philippe Launois heads the teaching kitchen, while Thomas Fefin, holder of the title «Meilleur Ouvrier de France», runs the restaurant's operations. Fefin welcomes the students before every lunch service for training. «17 students stand before him,» it is said.
