Lignano, 25 May 2026
Thousands of partygoers descended on the northern Adriatic resort of Lignano over the Pentecost weekend for 'Tutto Gas', with local authorities calling the overall balance positive despite a string of fines for loud music, public indecency and other offences.
Around 20,000 Austrian nationals were among the tens of thousands of short-stay tourists who arrived at the popular beach destination. According to the municipality, 26,000 young people travelled to Lignano over the holiday weekend, with the tourist registration system recording roughly 19,000 arrivals from Austria on Friday alone. By Saturday, more than 61,000 Italian day-trippers had joined the crowd.
