Lignano is gearing up for the annual 'Tutto Gas' Pentecost weekend, with thousands of tourists already arriving and hotels at 80% capacity.

The Pentecost weekend, known among Austrians as 'Tutto Gas', is a popular time for young tourists to visit the Italian coastal town of Lignano. This year, over 80,000 visitors are expected, with 20,000 coming from Austria alone.

Hotel occupancy rates are currently around 80%, according to local authorities. The town is preparing for a busy weekend, with many young tourists already arriving from Austria and Germany.

Alessio Codromaz, the town councilor for local police, reported a relatively calm start to the festivities. 'The first day was quieter than in previous years,' he said. However, he noted that the real test would come on Saturday night, which typically sees the most excessive behavior.
