Linda Noskova will face Karolina Muchova in the Wimbledon women's singles final on Saturday, guaranteeing that the Venus Rosewater Dish will go to a Czech player for the fourth time in seven years.

A national tradition on Centre Court

Noskova and Muchova both won their semifinal matches on Thursday at the All England Club, setting up an all-Czech showdown for the grass-court major. The result extends a remarkable period of Czech dominance on the women's side of the tournament, following titles by Petra Kvitova in 2011 and 2014, Marketa Vondrousova in 2023 and Barbora Krejcikova in 2024.

Speaking after her semifinal, Noskova said the moment she realized tennis was something she wanted to pursue came years ago while watching Wimbledon on television. "Das war einer der ersten Augenblicke, in denen ich realisierte, dass ein Sport wie Tennis existiert", sagte Noskova. She also recalled Kvitova's earlier triumphs as a defining memory. "Aber an eines erinnere ich mich: als Petra Kvitova hier gewann." The quotes are taken from her post-match press conference.
