Austria's women's ski jumping programme is being reorganised around Lisa Eder's return, with Manuel Fettner reintegrated into the team after months of resistance from federation official Florian Liegl.
Eder, one of the most prominent names in Austrian ski jumping, is on course for a comeback that has pulled long-time associate Manuel Fettner back into the national set-up. The arrangement, confirmed by 9 sources, marks a notable change in tone from earlier in the year, when federation official Florian Liegl had publicly raised doubts about whether such a move was possible at all.
Liegl said in the spring that an integration of Fettner into the team could not be pursued "aus inhaltlichen, Compliance-technischen und budgetären Gründen" — that is, for substantive, compliance-related and budgetary reasons. That position had effectively closed the door on a swift reconciliation between the athlete's camp and the federation leadership.
