The body of eleven-year-old Lyhanna, who had been missing for a week, has been found in a grain silo in Puycasquier in southwestern France near Toulouse and identified through a DNA match; a 41-year-old man, the father of a schoolmate, is in pretrial detention.
Olivier Naboulet from the southwestern French city of Agen announced on Friday evening that the child's body discovered on Thursday in Puycasquier had been identified as that of Lyhanna, who had been missing for a week. The identity of the victim was confirmed through a DNA match. Further examinations were needed to determine the exact cause of death, it was said.
