A magnitude 3.5 earthquake shook the Hall in Tirol area and parts of the greater Innsbruck region on 8 August 2026, as reported by the Austrian earthquake service Geosphere Austria – Federal Institute for Geology, Geophysics, Climatology and Meteorology.

The quake occurred on Saturday morning at 07:17 CEST (05:17 UTC). Geosphere Austria located the epicenter in the Hall in Tirol area and recorded the magnitude at 3.5. In several places in the greater Innsbruck region, including Hall, the tremor was clearly felt, according to the earthquake service.
