Korneuburg, 17 July 2026

The Vienna-listed biotech company Marinomed, headquartered in Korneuburg, intends to file again for court-supervised restructuring proceedings without self-administration because the restructuring plan approved in November 2024 could not be fulfilled.

The company announced on Thursday evening that the court-approved restructuring plan of 14 November 2024 could not be fulfilled. The reasons given were the breakdown of negotiations by Unither Pharmaceuticals and outstanding payments from Unither arising from the sale of the Carragelose business unit. Marinomed had previously sold the Carragelose division to Unither; however, the agreed payments were not made.
