Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, has been nominated for a Daytime Emmy in the Lifestyle category for her Netflix cooking and baking show "With Love, Meghan," as confirmed by Netflix and industry media.

The nomination marks another milestone in the former actress's ("Suits") career following her move into self-employment. Around six years ago, Meghan and Harry — the younger son of British King Charles III — stepped back from their royal duties. To become financially independent, the couple signed million-dollar deals with the streaming companies Spotify and Netflix.

What are the Daytime Emmys?

The Daytime Emmys honor programs that air before 6:00 p.m. on US television. They also recognize talk shows, soaps, and court shows. The Primetime Emmys, by contrast, honor programs in prime time in the evening. The awards will be presented on October 30.

In the Netflix show, Meghan talks about cooking, gardening, and hosting. She also promotes her fruit spreads in the series. The show was originally announced under the name "American Riviera Orchard," but is now continuing under the brand name "As ever," with which she plans to market jams and other products.
