According to information from Bloomberg, Microsoft's Xbox division is preparing a new wave of layoffs for July 2026 — the first major restructuring under Xbox chief Asha Sharma, who took the helm in February.

Microsoft's Xbox gaming division is facing a new wave of layoffs, according to a Bloomberg report. Shortly after the end of Microsoft's fiscal year on June 30, around 1,000 positions are expected to be cut. It would be the first major restructuring under Asha Sharma, who took over leadership of the Xbox division in February. Microsoft declined to comment on the scope of the planned job cuts.
