The Austrian National Council begins a five-day plenary week on Monday, with the agenda including an extension of the intervals for the vehicle inspection ("Pickerl") and the first-ever submission of an Africa strategy by the government.
The Monday plenary session, which according to the parliamentary correspondence does not begin until noon, kicks off a so-called marathon week. For a total of five days, debates will be held in plenary sessions before the budget debate begins on Wednesday. Extension of vehicle inspection intervals
One of the central topics of the first sitting days is the amendment of the intervals for the technical vehicle inspection, the so-called "Pickerl". In future, the inspection will be required for the first time only four years after initial registration, as can be seen from the agenda: „Am Montag werden etwa die Intervalle für das ‚Pickerl‘ bei Kraftfahrzeugen verlängert.
