Niceshops Expands Logistics in Saaz and Creates 50 New Jobs

The fact that Niceshops can even consider additional space is the result of a record year in 2025. Back then, revenue rose by around 20 percent compared to the previous year to 169 million euros, with EBITDA at eight million euros. In total, around two million parcels were shipped from the logistics center in Saaz to 80 countries; the export ratio is 88 percent. For the current financial year 2026, the company expects revenue of around 200 million euros, with roughly 85 percent attributable to international markets.

No Full Automation Planned

The assortment is sold through around 30 specialized online shops and offered in up to 18 languages. Following the strong growth, the existing warehouses had reached their limits, the company explained. With the purchase directly at the home location, the company therefore wants to shorten transport routes and keep value creation in the region.

When it comes to the expansion, Niceshops is expressly not opting for a fully automated facility. „Ziel ist nicht die Vollautomatisierung des Lagers, sondern der gezielte Einsatz in speziellen Segmenten, um die Mitarbeiter:innen bei standardisierten Prozessen zu entlasten und die Effizienz weiter zu steigern", heißt es vom Unternehmen. The expansion is therefore intended to combine people and technology.

Back on a Growth Course After a Crisis Year

The expansion course is also remarkable against the backdrop of a restructuring around two years ago. It was only in 2024 that Niceshops had fought its way out of a crisis, also with the help of job cuts. Now the company is entering a new growth phase with significant investments and additional jobs.

In terms of sustainability, Niceshops considers itself well positioned. The company states that it relies 100 percent on green electricity, operates „nahezu" plastic-free in shipping, and has a return rate of around three percent – a figure that is low by industry comparison.

Sustainability and Low Return Rate

With the purchase in Saaz, roughly three quarters of an hour from Graz, the company is specifically strengthening its Styrian home location. The expansion is also seen as a signal to the region that additional value creation and jobs are to be retained in Southeast Styria.
