Norwegian has temporarily replaced its own logo on social media with that of British Airways to settle a pre-match wager after Norway lost 1-2 to England in extra time in the World Cup quarter-finals.

The Scandinavian carrier confirmed the swap overnight, posting the British Airways crest in place of its own branding on its official channels. The move settles a friendly bet placed before the knockout tie, in which Norway were eliminated despite a competitive performance that went to extra time.

"Gut gespielt, England und British Airways", schrieb Norwegian dazu. The post acknowledged England's victory and the airline's rival in the wager, framing the result in good humour rather than disappointment.
