Nvidia offers $13 billion to acquire AI platform Hugging Face

In recent years, Hugging Face has established itself as a go-to platform for distributing open-source AI models, enabling researchers and companies to share, evaluate, and deploy language and image processing models. The platform also plays a central role in disseminating models competing with those developed by the sector's major players.

Nvidia's offer comes as competition intensifies in the chips and AI models market.
