The supervisory board of the state holding ÖBAG has officially launched the search for a successor to sole CEO Edith Hlawati, who will retire at the end of January 2027.
As reported by the newspapers "Presse" and "Kurier," the state holding Öbag has advertised the board position. "Die Bewerbungsfrist für den Posten eines Alleinvorstands oder einer Alleinvorständin läuft dann bis 17. August", it states. The job posting will be published on Saturday, as confirmed by an Öbag spokesperson. Edith Hlawati will retire at the beginning of January 2027.
ÖBAG manages the state's stakes in domestic listed corporate giants such as OMV. According to the reports, the portfolio includes holdings worth approximately 30 billion euros. The portfolio companies operate in 38 countries. Each year, Öbag distributes around 1.58 billion euros in dividends to the federal government.
