Kitzbühel, July 21, 2026
Austrian tennis professional Sebastian Ofner has been eliminated in the first round of the ATP tournament in Kitzbühel by Slovakia's Alex Molcan 4:6, 4:6 and continues to wait for his first victory in the Gamsstadt.
The opening game of the match already took an unfavorable turn for the Styrian: Ofner lost his serve in the first game of the match and fell behind early. After 32 minutes, the first set was as good as over, although Ofner was able to close back to 4:5. In the second set, the Austrian was also unable to raise his level decisively.
Molcan, ranked 81st in the world, dominated the match over long stretches and decided the contest in two clear sets for himself. Overall, the encounter lasted 68 minutes. For Ofner, the current Austrian number one in men's tennis, it was a clear defeat without any real comeback.
