Kitzbühel, 20 July 2026

Lukas Neumayer has been eliminated in the first round of the clay-court tournament in Kitzbühel, which offers total prize money of 612,620 euros, falling to Germany's Yannick Hanfmann.

The 23-year-old Austrian was defeated by Germany's Yannick Hanfmann 6:7 (5/7), 4:6 on Monday. For Neumayer, this repeated the familiar pattern from previous editions of the tournament: once again, his campaign ended in the opening round.

Neumayer had entered the draw with a wildcard, which gave him the opportunity to showcase himself on the clay courts in Kitzbühel. Against the experienced Hanfmann, who is ranked considerably higher in the world rankings than the Austrian, the Salzburg native, however, found no effective response. Both sets went to the German, with the first set only being decided in a tiebreak.
