Smartphone manufacturer OnePlus is withdrawing from Europe and North America and will no longer launch new products in those markets going forward, as confirmed by parent company Oppo in a statement.

Founded in 2013 by Carl Pei and Pete Lau, the manufacturer once positioned itself as a flagship killer with aggressive pricing, and is now ending its new business in the two major Western markets. "After careful consideration, OnePlus will not be bringing any new products to market in Europe and North America," OnePlus and Oppo write in a joint statement. The strategic realignment within the Oppo Group provides for OnePlus to focus on the Chinese market going forward.
